This thesis deals with the topic „structural analysis with regard to earthquake resistance of Viennese Houses from the Wilhelminian time. It is about the mathematical survey of structural alterations in the existing building fabric of a typical old Viennese building. The first part of the thesis contains a compilation of essential fundamentals from the literature and the currently valid standards on earthquake design, especially the basics for the pushover-method. The second, practical part includes the performance of computational simulations on a in the style of common objects - designed Wilhelminian model house. The calculations are fullfilled with the non-linear pushover-method and include various, in practice occurring, structural measures, for example the abortion of a stiff partition wall on the ground floor or the creation of a door opening in such a wall. The simulations are performed on a three-dimensional computer model with the pushover program "3-muri" and - for verification of the results - with a self-programmed spread sheet. First, the earthquake safety of the original building is determined. Furthermore, the influences of the selected structural interventions are determined and compared with the capacity of the original building and interpreted. At last, various compensating measures are analyzed and optimized for the particular demolishion measure.
