The user satisfaction in buildings plays a central role in FM. User satisfaction is a complex issue and especially in the international context there are multiple perspectives of user satisfaction, as well as different measurement methods and influencing criteria. In this paper 87 international journal articles in the context of user satisfaction regarding to Facility Management are analysed. The main issues of the research focus on the research design and on the frequency of the investigated factors influencing user satisfaction. It is shown that the influencing criteria highly differ between different types of real estates. Furthermore it is explained that the papers which focus on housing, mainly focus on building structures und the social surrounding, which have, according to the studies, one of the proportional lowest impacts.
