Abstract:
In der folgenden Arbeit liegt das Hauptaugenmerk auf der 2004 gegründeten Firmensammlung Kontakt. Die Kunstsammlung der Erste Group, die sich intensiv mit der Kunstproduktion in Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa beschäftigt, und auf deren räumlichen Präsentationsformen. Als Annäherung an das Thema wird ein einleitender Überblick der Geschichte des Sammelns sowie des Mäzenatentums gegeben. Im Anschluss daran wird die Firmengeschichte der Erste Bank, die als Sparkasse in Österreich gegründet wurde und heute als Banken-Gruppe in Europa tätig ist, aufgearbeitet.<br />Die Arbeit beleuchtet die Stellung der Erste Bank als Förderer, Sammler und Mäzen aufgrund der Galerietätigkeiten in den 1960er und 70er Jahren sowie der Sammeltätigkeiten im Bereich der Kunst in den 1980er und 90er Jahren. Auch die äußerst umfangreiche Sparbüchsensammlung findet hier den ihr gebührenden Platz.<br />Nach einer Beschreibung der Entwicklung, der Inhalte, Projekte und Initiativen des Sponsoringprogramms Kontakt. Das Programm für Kunst und Zivilgesellschaft folgt eine detaillierte Vorstellung von Kontakt. Die Kunstsammlung der Erste Group sowie der Präsentationen und Ausstellungen der Sammlung. Im Besonderen werden die räumlichen Interventionen und die damit verbundenen Ideen sowie Ansätze von Nicole Six & Paul Petritsch für die Ausstellungen in Wien und Belgrad vorgestellt. Abschließend werden die Beweggründe für eine Firmensammlung dargelegt sowie weitere Beispiele solcher Sammlungen beschrieben und untereinander sowie mit Kontakt verglichen.

In the following degree dissertation the main focus of attention deals with the company-collection Kontakt. The Art Collection of Erste Group which was founded in 2004 and their spatial presentation-form. The preferential focus in this collection is the art production in Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe.<br />The preamble is an overview about the historic reasons of collecting and patronage of art. Followed by a short abstract about the history of Erste Bank, which was founded as a local saving bank and is now an international Bank Holding.<br />This essay point out the position of the Bank as a sponsor, collector and a Maecenas due to the gallery work in the 1960ies and 70ies. Also the substantial collection of saving boxes is part of this assignment.<br />After a description of the development, the content, the projects and the initiatives of the sponsor program Kontakt. The Arts and Civil Society Program of Erste Group followed by a detailed presentation of Kontakt. The Art Collection of Erste Group as well as the presentations and exhibitions of this collection.<br />In particular the spatial interventions and the ideas of Nicole Six & Paul Petritsch for the collection in Vienna and Belgrade will be pictured.<br />Closed by an explanation of the company´s motivation of having such a collection and some other examples of collections and their comparison to Kontakt.<br />
