Systemidentifikation seilgestützter Tragwerke : die dynamische Strukturantwort von Schrägseilen

Abstract

Der in der Praxis tätige Bauingenieur sieht sich in zunehmendem Maße mit Aufgaben, welche die Berechnung und Beurteilung von Bauwerken unter dynamischen Lasten (Wind, Verkehr, Erdbeben) erfordern, konfrontiert. Diese Tendenz ist nicht zufällig, sondern entspricht der allgemeinen Entwicklung in Technik und Gesellschaft. Aus diesem Grund ist noch umfassender Forschungsbedarf auf dem Gebiet der Baudynamik gegeben. Während für einige Probleme bereits entsprechende Lösungen bzw. Beurteilungsmethoden vorhanden sind, existieren noch zahlreiche Bereiche in denen praktische Ansätze und Untersuchungsmethoden fehlen. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung der Untersuchung und Beurteilung von Zuggliedern seilgestützter Konstruktionen liefern. Die Kenntnis der aktuellen Zugkräfte in Kabeln von Schrägseilbrücken, Hängern von Bogenbrücken und externen Spanngliedern ist zur Beurteilung dieser Elemente, aber auch zur globalen Beanspruchungsprüfung der Konstruktion erforderlich. Die Feststellung dieser Kräfte durch Abhebekontrollen mit hydraulischen Pressen ist mit einem erheblichen Aufwand sowie der Gefahr von Beschädigungen verbunden. Aus diesem Grund sind Verfahren erforderlich, die rasch und vor allem zerstörungsfrei die Kabelkräfte bestimmen können. Hauptziel dieser Arbeit ist die Entwicklung genauer zerstörungsfreier Methoden für die Bestimmung der im Kabel wirksamen Zugkraft auf Basis von Schwingungsmessungen. Durch die Untersuchung der Schwingungscharakteristik von Schrägseilen ist ein Lösungsansatz vorhanden, die Eigenfrequenzen (und damit die wirksame Kabelkraft), die Biegesteifigkeit sowie die Dämpfungsparameter abzuleiten. Grundsätzlich wurden auch bisher Schwingungsmessmethoden zur Bestimmung der wirksamen Kabelkräfte herangezogen, die dabei erzielten Genauigkeiten waren jedoch nicht zufriedenstellend. Vor allem bei hohen Kabelkräften und kurzen Kabeln sind fallweise Fehler bis ± 10% zur tatsächlichen Kabelkraft feststellbar. Die wesentlichsten Ziele bei der Erstellung dieser Arbeit sind die Entwicklung eines genauen und praktisch einsetzbaren Verfahrens zur Bestimmung der Kabelkraft sowie von Dämpfungswerten. Der festgestellte Zusammenhang zwischen gemessener Eigenfrequenz, Kabelkraft sowie Biegesteifigkeit ermöglicht, durch eine Berücksichtigung der Steifigkeit sowie der Lagerungsbedingung des Kabels eine exakte Kraftbestimmung im Zugglied durchzuführen. Durch diese Einflussparameter ist es möglich, eine Genauigkeit in der Größenordnung von ± 1% des tatsächlich vorhandenen Kraftwertes zu erzielen. Die Anwendung des beschriebenen Verfahrens wird am Beispiel von drei ausgewählten Schrägseilbrücken dargestellt, wobei die allgemeine Eignung der Methode zur Bestimmung von Kabelkräften und Dämpfungsparametern nachgewiesen wird.

The practical civil engineer is increasingly confronted with tasks which require the calculation and assessment of structures under dynamic loads (wind, traffic, earthquakes). This tendency is not accidental but corresponds to the general development in technology and society. From this reason it becomes clear that still more comprehensive research is required in the field of construction dynamics. Whereas for some problems corresponding solutions or assessment methods already exist, there are still numerous fields where practical solutions and examination methods are still required. This thesis is to represent a contribution to the further development of examination and assessment of tendons of cable supported structures. The knowledge of the actual tensile forces in the cables of guyed structures (e.g. pylons, pyramid type roofs), in the ropes or cables of cable-stayed bridges, in the suspenders of arched bridges or in external tendons is required for the assessment of these elements themselves but also for the examination of the global stress of the structure. The determination of these forces by lift-off tests with hydraulic presses is connected with considerable expenditures as well as the danger of damages. The mounting works at the anchorages can unfavourably influence the durability of these critical elements. Therefore fast and non-destructive methods for the determination of the forces are required The main aim of this paper and the research activities connected to it is the development of accurate, non-destructive methods for the determination of the tensile force effective in the cable on the basis of vibration measurements. By means of the examination of the vibration characteristics of stay cables a solution approach for deriving the eigenfrequencies (and therefore the effective cable force), the bending stiffness as well as the damping parameters is available. With these parameters an abundance of tasks can be accomplished with regard to the assessment of vibration behaviour and condition determination. Basically up to now vibration measurement methods were also used for the determination of the effective cable force, the accuracies achieved were, however, not satisfying. Above all for high cable forces and short cables in some cases errors of up to ± 10% of the actual cable force could be determined. The main targets of this thesis are the development of an accurate and practical applicable procedure to determine cable forces as well as damping coefficients. The discovered connection between the measured natural frequency, cable force as well as bending stiffness enables - by taking into account the stiffness and the boundary conditions - an accurate cable force determination in the tendon. By consideration of these influencing parameters it is possible, to achieve an accuracy of ± 1% of the real acting cable force. The application of the described method is shown on three selected cable stayed bridges. In doing so, the general suitability of the developed method to determine cable forces and damping coefficients is proved.
