In recent years, a major shift in mobility must be seen, the way of mobility will change significantly. Although electromobility is increasingly becoming the focus of attention, the figures still show a clear expansion potential: „But despite government incentives and technological advances, the demand for electric vehicles has not lived up to expectations. At the beginning of 2017, the vehicle inventory in Germany includes 34,022 electric and 165,405 hybrid vehicles. Although the current contingent of electric vehicles in the entire vehicle fleet of 62.6 million vehicles is extremely low, a record growth of 11,624 new registrations was recorded in the first quarter of 2017.“2 For this reason, the following thesis addresses the question of which factors influence the use of two-wheel vehicles with electric drive. In particular the factors road safety, lifestyle and future buying behavior are to be investigated. The master thesis is based on the study " E-MOTO - Aktionsund Motivationsplan zur Etablierung der E-Mobilität bei jungen ZweiradlenkerInnen - Modellregion Elektromobilität", from which the influencing factors were taken. This master thesis like to point out the influencing factors, but also possible recommendations for an increased use of two-wheel vehicles which are electric powered. The thesis is based on the following hypotheses: Traffic safety has an impact on the use of electric powered vehicles. These hypotheses are examined and evaluated by using statistical tests. Among other test, the methods Chi-square test and cluster analysis are used for the validation. The master thesis is separated into five main chapters. After this introduction, the terminology used will be defined and the state of research or technology on the subject areas will be explained. Afterwards, in chapter 2.2. important scientific methods are discussed. Chapter 3 of the thesis deals with data analysis, in the following chapter 4 the results of the investigation are presented and critically questioned. Finally, in a conclusion, the most important facts of the work are summarized and an outlook on possible further investigations is given.
