This diploma thesis deals with a new project for the greenhouse of the University of Vienna in close proximity to the Belvedere Palace in Vienna. The property covers an area of 1,950 m. The idea is to design an object that consists of three glasshouses for different climates. In addition, a management area is planned as an additional service for the existing botanical garden. The architectural concept of the Glasberge allows urban planning a gentle structural transition from the hard multi-storey city edge to ground level garden space. In addition, the glasshouses in the form of glass mountains create a picture of a landscape for the visitors.
