Colombia, was chosen as the location for this project after ample time was spent living in this country. The village Palomino, at the Caribbean coast, in the department of La Guajira, has a diverse ethnic population and a variety of landscapes. Corruption is a major issue there, and the place also has a long history of armed conflict. In recent years, there has been a rapid development in the tourism sector. The existing infrastructure is insufficient vi za vi the population and this is becoming more and more problematic with an increase in the number of visitors. The lack of cultural space and bad education infrastructure, a cultural- & educational centre is of great importance and is the result of this work. This whole complex is planned in three construction phases, as well as in three building groups. At First a workshop, which provides the materials for the following buildings. Second a space for events, arts and restaurant and last a place of education. The centre is planned in local construction techniques and materials to avoid a long transport and its costs.
