The aim is to create a cycle, where the refugees are included in to the process of building their own homes. They should not depend on help from outside the camp neither because of financial reasons nor because of the lack of knowledge of building constructions. The refugees are living in the camps under very bad conditions, for many years now. Their houses are tents or self-made buildings made of material the yhave found in the camp. Imagine living in a place for many years without a good infrastructure, they have no places to meet. The schools , which are crowded with children, are made of tents placed in halls, no place a child wants to go to. My aim is to provide places and spaces the people can forget about their situation for a short time, a place the children want to go to, to educate themselves, or women can takes courses to learn new skills. The houses should be adjusted to the climatic conditions, for instance the extreme heat, sand storm, etc., should be affordable without being depended on external help, and expandable to be able to react on changing conditions. The building material are mud bricks, the traditional construction method should be improved by new techniques. All the mentioned aims should be included into this design, to show how a temporary place, marked by sad conditions, into a place of hope for a new and better future.
