‘Living in a dynamic dense City is a well in the urban fabric integrated architectural design of a hybrid building complex in the tenth district in Vienna. Situated at the crossroad of Laxenburger Straße and Inzerdorfer Straße the project combines with its spacious public areas an educational and cultural campus with sales, catering and commercial functions. On the upper floors the design offers different high-quality apartment modules, according to the heterogeneous society of the neighborhood of today and tomorrow. The draft aims to mediate between the different planned uses, their programmatic impulses and the city. The lack of private areas in the district is to be compensated by the new generated public space. Thus, the planning corresponds to a clear urban-urban way of thinking, which perceives and unites the complex in its dimension as a district. Public space, development, circulation, and superposition of functions are therefore at the center of the architectural considerations. The selected functions will enhance the district and the space planned for the public. In order to achieve the necessary economics, there should be as many functional superimpositions as possible.
