The thesis is concerned with creating a concept for revitalization and reconstruction of the settlement Krš in Trebinje. The revitalization concept should contribute to the retention of identity and characteristics of the settlement, as well as to enable its reintegration with the surroundings. The awareness of its historic value would thereby increase and at the same time new tourist offers would be created, which would not only contribute to the development of the settlement, but the whole city as well. The thesis is approximately divided into three sections: the first one is an overview of historical events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is a mention of the social and political changes that have influenced the creation and development of cultural diversity and the specific architectural expression in the country. Second section includes the development of Krš city and its settlement, as well as the analysis of the current state of the old stone houses in Krš. Furthermore, suitable interventions have been proposed for the rehabilitation and restoration of facilities in order to preserve their authenticity. In the third section, a potential concept for revitalization and adaptation of rehabilitated buildings is presented, as is the reintegration of this settlement into the everyday life of people from Trebinje, not forgetting anyone else fortunate enough to be there, either by chance or intentionally.
