In the course of the entire master's degree program, personal emphasis was placed on optimizing the personal approach in design processes regarding inventiveness. Thus, in the course of various drafting projects, a model-based open-experimental design method was developed whose potential for innovation could soon be recognized. Analyses of the theoretical fundamentals of such open-experimental processes were initially carried out with the aim to further specify and improve the applied design strategy and subsequently led to profound examination in this master`s thesis. It is not only the individual design method which is based on this strategy. An open-experimental approach can also be observed in several other fields, e.g. in biological evolution. Thus, trans-sectoral insights have become possible. Progress happens through bringing up new possibilities - variation - in combination with situation-related, causally or logically determined, direction-giving choosing - selection. Thus, the re-stabilization of selection criteria - regarding the design practice consistent realignment in goal-setting - is of great importance. This leads to new functions and directions of development emerging from the utilization of unexpected side-effects. It has become well-founded and affirmed by expert's assessment that even the personal course of action represents an evolutionary process. The specific design process corresponding with this theoretical research has also significantly deepened personal understanding. Gathering momentum across many stages and directions of development illustrate identified principles on a practical level.
