The aim of this thesis is, to develop natural and climate-friendly construction in Iran to achieve sustainability and to design a show case house. An attempt is made to show that the existing climatic factors can even today be used as advantage for building houses . The first part deals with the climatic data (macro- and micro-climates), of which the impact on human conditions and sensations are dependent on each building design. To go further into depth of this study an overview of the different climate regions of Iran is provided. The impact of climatic factors according to climate zones were compared and the influence of architecture and building typology was studied. In the course of this study the various options with in depth studies along the Caspian coastal region and the location of the project were discussed with the owner as preliminary design. The optimal option for the corresponding project was selected for further processing. Parallel to the planning process, further local studies were completed with regard to building typology, living culture and building materials and -construction. After the client approved of the design, construction and building materials were determined. Finally, project plans and visualizations are attached as well as a description including the space program.
