Speaking about the topic of demographic migration a frequently asked question is this about remain of the abandoned regions. In this paper the perspective is reversed and the view is directed to the accessed city. How does the city deal with migration and how does the distribution of population growth into the social infrastructure work? This is often a barrier for a successful integration into the local conditions and the key to the general agreement - particularly in the economically weaker countries like Ukraine. The local and urban study of typological district "Obolon '" in Kiev shows the unproportional development between the increasing housing construction, on the one hand, and rather outdated and neglected social infrastructure, on the other hand. Furthermore, the collected interviews from different perspectives show the material problem of acquiring a living space in Kiev and the placement of the children in the crowded social institutions. The following thesis describes a process of sensitization which culminates in an architectural design triggered by different topics and points of view of concerned parties. In search for the missing link between the former socialist and today's commercial architecture in Kiev customized architectural structure is developed by integrative work. A special point of interest in the field of education is the lack of free places for new students which requires coverage. The proposed architectural draft is a flexible and customized structure that provides the necessary space and is used as a supportive extension to the school system. Classrooms, a centre of self-education, courses, sports and other functions would occupy the building complex and could transform the current order and rearrange the building - depending on the requirements. The centre should be primarily used by the surrounding schools but also beyond this it serves as afternoon care and learning centre for children and young people from the neighbourhood. In addition, the new social institution would have a certain amount of integrated living space units. Overall, this design would create an architectural basis for the just starting social system in Ukraine.
