The cross section of a pedestrian bridge gets analysed by a coupled form of analysis, which is created by Mr. O. Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Helmut Rubin. The relation between stress results and deformation are written in a coupled form which allows an arbitrarily choice of a reference point and a reference system of coordinates. There is no need for calculating the centroid nor the shear centre or the principal axis. Based on the relation mentioned above a transfer matrix gets developed, which enables the calculation of all stress results, deformations and displacements. The results of three different kinds of loads are displayed in this paper. Comparing the results of this thesis with these of the thesis, that concerns the same square section but handles it with a more conventional calculation method, it turns out, that the results are exactly the same. This proves that the coupled form of analysis, which is used in this paper, is a good solu-tion for the present case, since it maintains the same results as the regularly used method.
