The following thesis focuses on the revitalization of an old sawmill in Unterstinkenbrunn, a village in northern Lower Austria. The vacancy is going to be converted into a training centre for professional Dirt Jump Mountain Bike riders. By reintegrating the original structure in the new design, the sawmills original character will be preserved. An organically formed roof will function as the driving surface and at the same time marks the villages- new beginning in a structurally weak area. The transformed space will also provide a community pavilion in order to regain communication among a highly diverse population.
