The type of original, traditional, qualitaty village buildings include much potential for modern enhancement. With their extended yards arranged around a village green, they form the basis for the construction survey of the entire area of the former "Berger-Barracks". One and two storey row houses will be developed as construction elements, and will be partially supplemented for starting-apartments. To improve the indoor atmosphere, water retention and city climate, the platform roofs will be provided with extensive green roofing. Transiting the housing estate with private cars is not possible because dead end roads for the occupants are planned. The whole housing estate is conceived for pedestrians and cyclists and will be laced with driveable residential paths, green areas, resting places and looping paths in a consistent green and freespace concept, so that the homogeneity of the residential area view is guaranteed. A strict and, in its progress, clearly designed development, guarantees a good orientation and simple, easy to reach spaces. The two storey square of the former barracks, under historical protection, shall be integrated in the housing estate through different infrastructure facilities and installations such as supervision of playschool and primary school children, youth infrastructure, hobby spaces, workshops and event facilities. All these will be available for the people of the town to also use.
