The former brickworks was built about 1893 for the manufacture of bricks and roof tiles. The building itself consists mostly of brick and is with its elongated shape, the type of a later 'Ringbrandofen' from Friedrich Hoffmann. The brick production was stopped in 1968 and since then there wasn't any usage to bring to this building. In my work, I deal with the history of this building, and brick production in Styria and the functioning of the special type of the 'Ringbrandofen' from Hoffmann. Furthermore, I examine the existing building and take him on a plan by surveying the object. In addition, I analyze existing damages to the building and develop a concept for remediation measures. Finally, a use concept with a design work is created.
