To rate possible compensation claims for the additional expenses for the site personnel caused by disturbed construction process, one must first clarify the most important technical terms, such as construction process disturbance and site overheads. To achieve a clear distinction between these definitions, the corresponding norms and literatures were researched and summarized. Afterwards national and international rules and standards for claims to additional expenses were compared. The reasons for additional time-related site overheads were analyzed within the diploma thesis. As a result, it was possible to divide these costs into direct and indirect additional expenses. Furthermore these types of expenses were illustrated in-depth and national/international approaches pertaining to their enforcements were sorted and classified. Afterwards the theoretical determination of additional time-relates labor costs were outlined step by step. Finally, to illustrate how these additional expenses could be enforced in a practical manner, a representative project was presented.
