The objective of this diploma thesis was to develop a program for designing edge beam anchorages for the company Hilti. The program commissioned by the company was written in MS Excel. The program enables the user to design and calculate single and double row arrays of anchors using the anchor systems BAD HVZ and HRB TZ. It allows the user to calculate the loads caused by noise protection walls or guide rails in accordance with RVS 15.04.71 as well as all other loads. On the one hand, the design of the program called "HILTI Randbalken 1.0" allows the user to work intuitively and to achieve the required results quickly. On the other hand, it provides the company with easy maintenance of the program and the included database. The paper includes a detailed description of the program design including all the relevant MS Excel features and programming techniques. The program does not use any macro programming, which makes its usage a lot easier and more user-friendly. In the next section all programmed computations are explained and proved in detail, based on all the different sets of standards in use. All the proofs and analyses deal with the calculations to guarantee a proper connection of both anchor systems (BAD HVZ and HRB TZ) with the supporting structure as well as with the edge beams. In the following section two worked examples are shown and analysed in more detail. The example for anchor system BAD HVZ is first calculated by hand and then run through using the program. Due to the similarities, the differences are analysed and explained in more detail in the example for anchor system HRB TZ. Appendices A and B contain the respective printouts of the two worked examples.
