Abstract:
The goal of the master theses is, to analyse the detachment of a fully developed boundary layer around a circular cylinder departing from the front stagnation point where Re takes a arbitrary large value. The incoming flow is taken as incompressible, two dimensional an steady. It is accepted the the solution of these problem can be described with a free streamline departing form the surface of the cylinder. The detachment point can suitable be chosen with a parameter k. The boundary layer is assumed to be laminar in the front stagnation point. Why will show later analytically, with asymptotic methods, and numaricaly, with a code implemented by the NAG, that the boundary layer will develop sufficiently far upstream to a fully turbulent one. The transition laminar-turbulent is described with a second parameter T like in [1].
The whole problem is treated as a two parameter problem. Moreover the behaviour of the boundary layer for T to infinity for a fix k is examined.
