By the change of the market from sellers- to buyers- market, and as a consequence thereof the paradigm changes from the function-oriented to the process-oriented organizational design. This is one of the reasons why the companies are located in international competitive pressure to each other. Therefore, it is very important to generate from the respective input the maximum output. The aim of this thesis is, to describe the way to a low waste production due to flow analysis. As a case example acts the door check production of the company Edscha Automotive Hauzenberg GmbH. Besides the detailed description of the actual material flow, the actual flows of information are recorded, too. By the use of key figures and recognized problems appropriated target states are defined. Therefore, known methods like spaghetti-diagram, ABC analysis and CIP are deployed. By means of the flow analysis, the optimization of employment of staff, production flow and the production layout, in the specific field of the plastic production, is possible. Simultaneously space utilization and the using of resources are improved, as well as work simplification and reduced accident potential are enabled.
