The project of central railway station is planned to be built in a place historically known as Amselfeld, today called Fushë Kosovë. The European Bank for reconstruction and development approved a loan for the modernization of the railway route 10 of Kosovo, which will be built and equipped according to the latest standards. The route will be connected to the European Rail network, which is stretched to Athens. The goal of it is to promote tourism, increase economy and easier traveling. The project is designed with modern railway construction and operating regulations and will be a symbol in the capital city Prishtina. The architectural concept promotes the urban development of the location and allows free passage for the flow of peoples and vehicles. The new station facilitates the accessibility of the station for passengers and also the transfer of the various means of transport. Through the various items, shops and service outlets on the ground floor, the building is perceived not only as a railway station, but also as an attraction point for the region inhabitants.
