In the course of this project, a concept für housing construction in Puch bei Hallein, a suburb of the city of Salzburg, will be developed. Due to the proximity to Salzburg with its infrastructure, Puch is a quickly expanding area. The community has a lot of non-buildable land, still in its natural state. For this reason, Puch is popular among young families, active people and those who enjoy having access to nature close to their home. The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, built fairly close to the center of Puch, has caused changes in the domestic architecture of the region. The students an employees of the school increase the need for living quarters in the area. The purpose of this Master´s Thesis is, after thorough of the history and current status of Puch, to plan a housing development to be built on land located between the college and the center of town. This newly developed area combines the urban element of the college with the provincial structure of the town and allows a harmonious merging of the structures. Certain elements also promote communication between the old and new residents.
