The urban context of the campus area and the hillside situation form an essential part of the project. The building combines multiple functions to enable disciplinary/ interdisciplinary communication and research. The layout is based on a space allocation plan and designed primarily for research groups of experimental chemistry. In addition to standard chemical laboratories with associated service and infrastructure areas, a clean room, a library, communication areas, workplaces for up to 60 students have been integrated.
