My paper discusses the parameter of planning and economisation in residential building by referencing them to a practical blueprint for a house in Radetzkystraße 96 in Baden near Vienna. The main topics are the planning- and architectural-related influencing factors in connection to the economical demands of the project. The challenge is to find the best balance of additional charges, which are leading to an enhancement in value, on the one hand and economisation, followed by a decreasing value, on the other hand. The main goal is to streamline the relation between costs and advantage. In the year 2014, the property was built-up with a private residential construction, containing eight appartments. I will bring my blueprint in contrast to a realized project in order to validate the economic efficiency.
