Raumwahrnehmung von Kindern im Volksschulalter

Abstract

Meine Diplomarbeit, im Fachgebiet Architektur, beschäftig sich mit der Raumwahrnehmung von Kindern im Volksschulalter. Der Einstieg in die Thematik setzt sich mit der Raumwahrnehmung im Allgemeinen auseinander. Die Sinnesorgane dienen dem Menschen seine Umgebung wahrzunehmen und ermöglichen es den architektonischen Raum auf mehreren Ebenen zu spüren. Durch die Kombination von visuellen und akustischen Eindrücken entsteht im Kopf eines jeden Menschen ein subjektives Bild des wahrgenommenen Raumes. Die Kubatur, die Akustik, die Beleuchtung und die individuelle Gestaltung eines Raumes sind die grundlegenden architektonischen Mittel um dessen Wirkung auf den Menschen positiv wie negativ zu beeinflussen. Dringt man tiefer in den Raum ein so nimmt man dessen soziologische Qualitäten wahr. Der Schulraum als Sozialer Raum wird als architektonischer Rahmen für Aktivitäten, Interaktionen und soziale Kommunikation gesehen. Die Wahrnehmung auf der emotionalen Ebene erfolgt individuell und subjektiv. Gerade im Kindesalter ist die Schule ein zweites Zuhause für die Kinder, deshalb es ist wichtig ihnen dort die notwendige Geborgenheit zu vermitteln. Die Identifikation mit dem Schulraum ist für ein positives Raumempfinden der Kinder sehr wichtig und trägt wesentlich zum Wohlfühlfaktor in der Schule bei. Die Bewohnbarkeit und die Möglichkeit der sozialen Kommunikation sind eine Grundvoraussetzung im Volksschulbau. Zur praktischen Veranschaulichung wurden von mir zwei Schulen ausgewählt, architektonisch analysiert und qualitativ im Bezug auf die erarbeiteten Grundlagen Gegenübergestellt. Bei der Wahl der beiden Objekte hab ich darauf geachtet eine neu gebaute Schule, VS Mauth/Wels, einer über 100 Jahre alten Schule, VS Römerbergschule, gegenüber zu stellen. Es wurde von mir jeweils eine 4. Klasse zur Raumwahrnehmung der eigenen Schule mit der Hilfe eines speziell dafür entwickelten Fragebogen (mit Anlehnung an Rittelmeyer ) befragt. Anschließend daran habe erfolgte ein kurzes Interview mit den Kindern in der Gruppe. Ob für die Kinder der Wohlfühlfaktor in einem historischen Altbau ähnlich ist wie in einem modernen Neubau konnte mit Hilfe der Auswertung des Fragebogens und die dadurch gewonnen Erkenntnisse am Ende meiner Arbeit ausführlich beantwortet werden.

My thesis in the field of architecture, occupying space in the perception of primary school age children. The introduction to the topic deals with the perception of space apart in general. The sense organs serve the people perceive their environment and enable the architectural spaces felt on several levels. Created by the combination of visual and acoustic impressions in the mind of every man is a subjective picture of the perceived space.<br />The cubature, acoustics, lighting and the individual design of a room are the basic architectural means to its effect on people's lives positively and negatively.<br />We penetrate deeper into the room so one perceives its sociological qualities. The classroom as a social space is seen as an architectural framework for activities, interactions and social communication. The perception on the emotional level is individual and subjective.<br />Especially in children, the school is a second home for the children, so it is important to teach them that the required security. The identification with the school room is a positive sense of space for the children is very important and contributes significantly to the feel-good factor at the school. The habitability and the possibility of social communication are a key factor in people building schools.<br />For a practical illustration of me were two schools selected, analyzed and architectural quality Faced with respect to the developed basics. In the election of the two objects I've taken out a newly constructed school, VS Mauth / Wels, an over 100 year old school VS Römerberg school to provide against.<br />It was one of my fourth Class for spatial perception of their own school with the help of a specially designed questionnaire (with reference to Rittelmeyer were interviewed). Then it did a short interview was carried out with the kids in the group.<br />Whether similar for the children of the feel-good factor in a historic old building is like a modern new building could be answered at the end of my work in detail with the help of the results of the questionnaire and the insights gained thereby.
