Abstract:

This master thesis is about developing a new standardized cross-functional visualization concept with supporting communication for the company Constantia Teich. It should show which kind of visualization would be reasonable, attractive and adapted to the employees of Constantia Teich. The thesis should also fill the gap in the literature concerning the implementation of visualization in the production. The concept is based upon four struts: literature research, analysis of the current state at Constantia Teich, Best Practice company visits and a team-analysis of the strengths and weaknesses at Constantia Teich. Because of this procedure various ideas and approaches for a new concept could be found. During the development of a new concept and all the analyses at Constantia Teich and at the other companies it became clear that a lot of companies do not involve their employees and their needs while building up a new visualization concept. This is why they couldn-t gain all the advantages of a good visualization concept. For this reason my concept has a strong focus on the needs and concerns of the employees (Shopfloor) at Constantia Teich. All the ideas and approaches were discussed regularly and adapted to the proposals of the employees. The thesis includes a concept consisting of seven main components. The concept is a recommendation for a new visualization concept at Constantia Teich. The advantage of this structure is that every component could be used and implemented independently from the others and so all the parts are also applicable to other companies.
